Jojo08,
Cannot PM. No access. Not sure if allowed to post email id.
lovegreeneumma,
U would anyhow pay GST locally if u buy anything in retail store. From overseas via vpost, GST applies to SGD$400 & above.

I use Comgateway for shipment. I somehow find them more reasonable in their shipping cost compared to Vpost. They send stuff by DHL too. It's quite reliable, easy and safe. Used them many times. If you can order stuff that qualify for free shipping, so much the better.

We are going to move from Colorado to Singapore in late July and we are looking for an affordable way to send about 15 boxes. We don't have any furniture, just books, clothes, linens, and some kitchen items. We've been told by shipping companies that we don't have enough to meet their minimum shipping volumes. FedEx and the post office seem expensive. We're looking for something in between. Any ideas?
The big issue for us is that we won't have a mailing address for the first week or so. When we ship our goods, we won't have an address. Any ideas?

I shipped my belongings from Singapore to the US via "Seven Seas Worldwide". I recently wrote them an email complimenting them on the superb service. They indicate a projected time of arrival (it arrived before that date), and sent a few emails informing me of the shipment's progress. Anyway, I recommend them for their great service.

hischris, not sure if you are here and look at this anymore. I need the exact same thing - ship books and clothings from US, sold everything else on craigslist. did you find anything? USPS seems to have stopped mailbags shipping by sea

Okay. I think that's fine. A thousand dollars is moderate.
Thank you!
That's the minimum. There are many in the 1000 to 1500 range.
