Then why can't 99% of them not speak proper English? No, I am afraid you are the disadvantaged one here as Singapore is not a Native Speaking English country. You may want to believe it, but that is your mistake. Even your PM, SM & MM don't agree with you.

I am afraid I have to burst your bubble. A good half of all young Singaporeans speak and write English natively. The other half are native Mandarin and Malay speakers. I am just telling the truth, don't hate me just because you can't find Singapore on a world map.
By the way, I am am going to Pulau Ubin this week. Have you been there before? What sunscreen do you use? I need recommendations.

I haven't been to Ubin for several years but I used to ride my bike to the ferry & spend the day there then ride it back home to Seletar Camp. I've never bothered to use sunscreen as I found it wasn't necessary. What is necessary is a good insect/mozzie repellent. Wear a cap. Oh, and learn to speak English like a native English speaker, not a Native speaking English which is what you obviously are. But as I said before, even the PM, SM & MM don't agree with you, so somehow you appear to be just wishfully thinking.

Enjoy your stay here and as long as you can play the ball and not the poster, you will be okay. Once you start playing the poster, you are history. That's the way it is here. You have been put on notice.
