Tropic plant that smells very sweet during night timeâ€¦

I feel for the last few weeks some plant smells so sweet after dark. I guess it is a kind of tropic flower or something planted around town, but have not been able to identify which. This is not the first time, but during my stay in Singapore for some years, I sometimes have experienced such nights full of sweet smell around. Do you have any idea about such tropic flowers or names of those? I am very curious.

Currently all the Tembusu trees are flowering. You only smell it during the evenings. You will see small clusters of tiny white flowers all over three! It is heavenly!!

Yes Maam, there are... but most are in the army training areas and beside the expressways.

Go for example to Bukit Batok Nature Park and look for a sign "beware of falling durians".

Hi, perhaps you were looking for Saussurea obvallata also known as Brahma Kamal. Large White flowers, long and stalky green plant. Just google the name.

Wow exactly!! I found some Ilang Ilang flowers just below my apartment window on the ground! Amazing~

Not durian unfortunately, though the smell seems to be sweet for some people lol

Thanks, I am very interested. Will go to the Botanic Gardens later and try to smell Tembusu (some heritage trees seem to exist there!)
