Hi,
I am a Nepalese citizen and I lived and worked in Singapore for 4 years. I did my Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism from a private school in Singapore. I worked for 2 years at the Singapore Marriott as an Operations Trainee.. It was a full time job but with a different package (as what the hotel told us). I am married to a Singapore citizen and have a kid as well. On August 2010, M.o.M refused the extension of my SPass and I had to return back to Nepal. I hear that a lot of Nepalese are still being sent back.. I am not sure if it's some political issues or that the Singapore Government is just being partial towards us.. I tried applying at many companies but have not received any response yet.. My qualifications might not be much, but I still have the right skills and attitude.. Is there any hope for me to still get a job in Singapore regardless of the current situation? A lot of my Filipino friends have got their SPass rejected but have been lucky the second time..

This is the common trend with MOM right now. No rhyme and reason even for those getting renewals. It is more of the GE Backlash from my observation , Keep on trying and have back up plan in place is my best advise

You should have applied for PR under Family Ties scheme.
I would think you should come to Singapore under LTSVP (wife sponsorship) and apply for PR under Family Ties scheme.
You should do all this quickly because you can use the IT returns filed for past 3 years for PR application.

FaeLLe, I think you will find that I've already addressed that in another thread from the OP as the problem would appear to be an income level problem so could not sponsor the OP.

Actually, had I not had to take the Mrs. for an MRI this morning, this thread would have been stillborn as it would have been deleted from the outset as the OP has already had the question answered in the other thread. He's just hoping by starting a different thread, he might get a different answer.

Dear SMS, If you have not noticed, I posted this thread before the other one.. And both the topics are different.... It's not my fault that the other thread I posted has also come to the same point as this one..

Actually, it was you fault. You are the one who had the link to your blog in your signature in the first place.

How is my fault to have a link to my blog on my signature? I had a question on setting up a pub in Singapore.... Which obviously u didn't answer to and rather decided to comment on my pathetic situation...

If one doesn't wash their laundry in a public place (blog), the neighbours won't see the dirty linen.
The internet is an amazing thing.
