I was in your position once two years ago. Sometimes, you just need to risk it and directly approach a complete stranger. Broadcasting rarely works, unless you're female and then you get all these guys asking you for coffee or drinks.

hey .. all in this post ..and anyone else .. why dont we organise something, meetup this eve around 6-7 somewhere ("nakatago" come as well wud be nice to have a face to the name) and explore some place, having some food and drinks etc ...

What about Club Street? Good bars and restaurants and is a little less crowded. Much better for a meet and greet, IMHO.
