Diwali Celebrations 2011

Hello,

This will be my first Diwali in Singapore & keen to find out about events/ celebrations for the same. Is there a club or 'mela' here where Indians gather & celebrate? Would anyone have an idea?

Also, where I can get Godess Lakshmi & Lord Ganesha statue & earthern lamps for Diwali? Where to shop for other stuff like firecrackers, clothes etc?

B/w are we allowed to burn fireworks in Singapore?

Well since there are no replies, I thought will post my discovery.

I ventured out to Little India with hope to but things for Diwali & hurray found the Campbell Lane! The complete lane has display of Diwali decorations to diyas to God statues & anything you could want for Diwali.
