Here's my 2 cents:
- Paulo Coelho creates many "bright" novels. I love "The Alchemist" and "Zahir". But as for the others, the impression is not as strong as those 2
- Haruki Murakami, with unimaginable settings, creates many "balanced" novels. I love his works, especially Kafka on the Shore, Norwegian Wood, and The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. It's not always about the "good" side
Too bad I'm not good with novels like LOTR
