Women's soccer/football

Post by keating19 » Thu, 15 Sep 2011 10:42 am

I am interested in playing soccer/football one night a week. It seems like there is a lot of interest out there but most of the posts are rather old. Does anyone have information on any informal pick up that is already organized? If not, anyone interested in getting something started? I have only been here a few months so not quite sure where to start, but would be happy to help with getting something together. Just hoping for a chance to play!

Will Gaelic Football do in a pinch?

I'd like to pinch a couple just to see if they are real. They probably flatten me though!

There is a women's football league. See attached:

The other option is for one of you to arrange a venue convenient to majority. Keep in mind that a lot of primary schools open up their pitches up to the public on the weekend. It's a first come best dressed system. One has to sign for the use of the field with the warden that looks after it for the day.
