Bintan

I am heading to Spore next week and would like to go to Bintan for just a day and night. any suggestions as to a nice place to stay?? Thanking you in advance.

Mayang sari resort if u looking for white sandy beach, sea sports and rustic feel. Otherwise nirvana garden if u looking for comfort. Botb under same management

I second Mayang Sari if you like the bungalow on the beach feel. Most of the others are more posh hotel-like. You can use the pool at Nirwana if you stay at Mayang, but Mayang doesn't have its own pool. Take ear plugs if you like to go to bed early though, I've heard it can be noisy at weekends as the place up the beach has a late disco.

I much prefer the Angasana to to Mayang Sara and Nirwana. It has a beautiful beach, great food and a lovely pool.

Its much newer than the other two and consequently the rooms are in much better condition. Also Bintan Lagoon Resort is good too.
