hi girlss (or guys) :D can any of you recommend some face products that can actually reduce the oil production? i have a VERY oily face especially the T zone and i have a BIG BIG problem with black and white heads thats like every where on my face. can any of you suggest what i should use to reduce both the oily and the black and white head?
i currently use clean and clear daily pore cleanser which have those scrub thingy but i dont see much improvement on my face. i used body shops seaweed toner, pore perfector (coz i have large pores) and the night treatment for almost 1.5 years but see no to little improvements.. can any body help me suggest face products that can help these things??
and i also prefer something that can be bought in watsons or guardian or anywhere since i have limited budget.. THANKS :D

Have you tried regular (at least 3 times a day) spritzing of distilled water onto your face? A bottle costs $1 from Watsons. I have a dry skin, but for some unknown reason in Singapore it acts oily and the spritzing of water recommendation has really helped. Basically the humidity sucks out all the moisture in your skin which produces more oil to compensate - making it oily! So just add water.

Distilled water is as pure water as you can get (no added minerals or anything). Just use a spray that can provide fine mist. If you want the expensive option, there's Evian spray. There's also some facial mist products from The Body Shop - I remember there's a pink and an orange one (which is still in my office). I can't recall the exact product name and I'm not sure if they still carry them since I haven't been in their shops for more than 6 months.
Think positive! The oiliness moisturizes your skin so that once you're older, you can compare your skin with your peers - the ones with normal skin and dry skin will look a bit older than you (assuming you don't smoke).

Try to hydrate your skin very well before going to sleep or even in the morning. The reason why your skin is so oily is because it is not enough nourished. Some creams actually hydrate and matify the skin at the same time. Drink lots of water too.
Also, you can use blotting sheets to reduce oiliness throughout the day. These are sheets that you just dab on your face and that will absorb any excess oil on your face. You can probably find some in any beauty store.
If you want to matify your face, maybe you can try applying a little powder, very lightly with a big fluffy brush.

Cetaphil is pretty good and pretty highly recommended, by doctors too. I've noticed they now have a wash specially for oily skin. They have it at Watson's and many pharmacies. I couldn't find that one online but found
an oil control foam wash. Worth checking out.

Blimey, JR8, (or should I say, howdy) what brings you over to the female zone?

Hey-ho Lynx,
The user name and cluster in 'View posts since' set off my early warning radar!
Otherwise I'd be quite happy to leave you all to it

I have a teenager whoes face is very oily and have severe acnes. I did quite some research on it. He now use honey mask twice a week. Honey takes away the oil but not the moisture from your skin. You should have it at home already. Put it on your face (like you do facial mask) and leave it for about 30 minutes. Give it try, it won't hurt. Hope it helps.

You should try and clay mask and maybe also switch to an AHA based wash or cleanser. If it persists, you should seek medical help. Good luck!
