Where to get an inexpensive Christmas tree?

Can anyone suggest where I can find a small maybe 2-4 foot artificial christmas tree?

There are many shops start to sell it already, you could check Japan Home, Giant and some convenient shop in the HDB neighbourhood also sell it.

716 paya lebar rd (corner of geylang rd).. i bought stuffs from there as well... last year, we got our christmas tree legs broken but the tree still great.. was thinking to buy a new tree there.. but the seller recommend us to buy electronic spinning legs just for $50.. (save money for tree!!) it was great... our spinning Christmas tree like the one in the Mall... (even better)..

I found that store expensive the other year, I got mine from Carrefour, but, that's no longer there of course!

Ikea do real ones closer to the time for reasonable prices!

Dont go for the early bird specials, ours was brown and dead by the time xmas came along so had to buy a second one!

We always get ours from far east flora, always a big selection there.

$S120-300 for a 1-2.5m tree. If I remember correctly I paid something like $180 last year for a tree slightly over 2m (Far East Flora @ Queensway). It can last pretty long, up to 2 months. They sell noble firs so even if the tree is dead it does not loose the "needles" that rapidly.

The big nurseries at Thompson Rd/Olive Rd have them. I remember walking past the back of a truck and shipping container outside one of the nurseries when they opened the back doors. The amount of refridgerated 'smoke' was like the doors of Dracula's castle had just been opened... and the smell ... oh ... that ... smell of home. It almost brought tears of joy.

They certainly were expensive (to me), but good varieties like blue spruce (?) that should hold up better than the cheapo simpler ones that you can get. Also buy a proper base in which you can secure it upright and keep it watered... lasts a damned sight longer than sticking in a dry steel frame or bucket of sand!

They (the nurseries at the Thomson Rd cluster) have pretty limited stock it seems. Last year I started looking for the tree a bit late (2 weeks before Christmas I believe) and practically anything worth taking home was already gone. At the same time Far East Flora had a very nice choice of the trees with what appeared some daily replenishments.

There are many shops selling sorts of artificial Christmas trees on top floor of The Verge mall near Little India MRT station.

Gosh, it is like riding escalators up into Narnia.
