hola,
I know this is abit outdated, I'm interested in picking spanish. Anyone kind enough to give some tips? Found an old self-help for spanish language called "Colloquial Spanish". But I have to say, self learning isn't not really easy to pick up.

My own experience (many years ago), and that of my wife who teaches Spanish, is that group 'beginners' classes are not very efficient. Of course it depends on your reason for learning a language - if part of the goal is to increase your social circle then obviously a group setting is part of the solution. But if you're serious about advancing your knowledge of a language then 1:1 tuition works far better IMO.

As mentioned above, if anyone is interested in details for the tuition my wife provides (which is also advertised in the classifieds section), please let me know.
