Who/rents out those Art Deco buildings along TB road? HDB?
Interesting choice of terms there, as I always get flashbacks of Miami when I'm there. Love having breakfast at the upstairs hawker centre! It's a heritage neighborhood, and one of the oldest HDB's still standing. My guess is that the individual owners would lease them out, same as others. But I haven't looked that closely to know for sure.

I think that's what was being referred to by PNGMK. They're a bit higher, at least 3 stories at the heritage HDB zone.

Is that the area where they bulldozed the original Victorian/colonial-era buildings to redevelop it?

I looked up a little bit of info, and didn't see any reference to that. Here's the gumment version anyhow:

Thanks all for the feedback - we're going to put some miles on the MRT while we're in town, that's for sure!

I heard a few blocks are actually
Service Apartments. Some are actually owned by individuals. I know of people who actually viewed the apartments above those shophouse units along kim tian road.
