Hi everyone, sounds like I'm a bit of a latecomer to this party... but I'm Keith, 24, I arrived here a few weeks ago and have just been househunting, then moving and getting up to speed at work so far.

I see rock climbing and biking mentioned above and I'd been looking into those. I was recommended a good climbing centre quite near the city centre but haven't checked it out just yet.

If there's any meet-ups in the near future just let me know, hopefully I can make it!

What's this alcohol ban? I guess I need to read the news or something...

No prob KGS_aus. There will be some other times.

You should ask your work colleagues or any locals about it. Basically the ban is an island-wide alcohol ban, whereby you no longer can drink alcohol in public space after 10.30 pm till 7 am. So say sayonara to the iconic Clarke Quay bridge scenery filled with drunken people!
