From what I read, dishwashers are very common in the US and UK. I wonder why they are not common in SG. I mean people here would rather have the latest iPhone and a maid, than a normal phone and a dishwasher.

Edit: Found the answer, people here eat cheap food outside rather than cook and do the dishes.

Why I often don't buy those "Prepare a 3 Course Meal for Your Family in 30 minutes or less" recipes...I forget they assume you'll use a dishwasher to clean up.
