Also must be careful. If you are from a 3rd world country and marry a local Chinese girl, there is a very good possibility of them looking at it as a marriage of convenience, depending on the other data you provide in the application and the length of time from the marriage to the time of application.
+1
OP is a from phil and trying to marry a local SC male.
thank you for your response. however, i didn’t know that my questions sounded like i only want to marry him because of Pr and I will be judged by that. That is not true. I will be applying as a single. I would just like to know what are my chances.
Anyway, I have submitted my application already. But, I’m planning to change company cos better pay. Will it affect the application or not? Thank you again!

Depends. It may affect if the pay increase is not significant.

It will be negative impact if the salary raise or the career growth prospect in the new job is not significant.

@SF, is 12-15% hike in current salary while changing job should have positive impact?

What role are you moving to? is it like moving to a senior role that also reflects in your designation also?
12-15% of how much may also matter. sorry to say this.

I had a job change during my PR application a couple of years ago. The salary increase was around 23k a year. My application was rejected shortly after.

Hi all,
I had submitted my application in the first week of Jan and checked the status today. It says upload additional documents requested but I did not get any email (checked spam) or letter from ICA. I have also checked my application form again to make that the contact details are all correct.
- Is it normal for ICA to ask for additional documents within 3-4 weeks of submitting the application?
- How should I proceed when I don't know which document to upload?
Thank you!

Did it ask or are you assuming since there is an option for you to upload documents Online?

It just has the button active saying Submit additional documents and below it says - For applicant/sponsor who has received email/ letter from ICA to submit documents. I did not get any

That is a default option that is to be used ONLY by applicants who have been asked by ICA to submit additional documents.

Hello! I would like to know my chances for my PR application. Thank you!
My profile:
Gender : Male
Age : 33
Marital Status: Single
Ethnicity: Chinese
Nationality - Hong Kong, China
Country of Origin: Hong Kong
Length of Stay: 2014 to Present (6 years of full year tax assessment)
Education: Bachelor Degree
Job: Supply Chain Manager
Current Annual Salary - 60K + performance bonus (pay cut due to Covid)
Previously i was drawing 85 to 95K / annual
I applied for my PR last year 7 Nov 2019, and it has been almost 1 year since i submitted my application.
I didnt hear anything from the ICA Portal while i keep checking it everyday and the status is still pending, i tried to email ICA by asking if there is further doc. needed but they replied no additional doc is needed for the time being
A lot of people tell me that no news is good news and I also understand that due to the current situation, the process would be slow while the bar to be a PR may raise.
but still it would be great if i can hear some opinion from the professional ....
Thank you so much
You may have a chance of around 40%
I just receive an email from ICA asking me to provide some additional Document.
Hope all is good
