Nationality: malaysian
Race: Chinese
Gender: Male
Education: diploma in engineering
Occupation: system engineer
Salary: 72k yearly (based on last year IRAS tax)
PR since 2021
Length of stay in SG: 8 years since 2015
Length of working in SG: 8 years since 2015
Marriage Status: Single
IRAS assessment: 2016 till now

50~60% now, after PR for 24 months probably 80%. Degree would put you much higher both now & later But the probability after 24 month is almost a certainty.

UPDATE:

Finally received the IPA concerning SC for the whole family, this was after 3 attempt, though the wait was long given that i have spent 18 years in SG. Super happy that we can call SG home from every perspective and looking to contribute even more to the SG Soceity going forward.

Congrats. Your post indicates that you applied in 2023. Did you get your approval 3 years later or were you rejected and you applied again?

When i applied in 2023 it was rejected after 15 months of wait (2nd time) rejection, the first time rejection was after 27 months. However, this time got the approval almost at the middle of 12th month.

We may be seeing a trend of higher approvals in general due to population needs, combined with the “wave” of Indian migrants from the previous decade finally dissipating. This is my speculative read based on anecdotal info, so don’t take it to the bank… feel free to disagree.
