Has anyone heard the phrase “a watched pot never boils” — it means the more you focus on monitoring and anticipating something, the longer (and more agonizing) the wait will feel.
When my daughter’s PR was finally approved, I hadn’t checked for at least a month and then out of the blue I was notified that a decision was made… I logged on and was pleasantly surprised by the approval. It’s not that I didn’t care, but what good would it have done to keep checking?
The same thing when I take a long flight - I almost never check the flight progress and focus on entertaining myself so that the hours go by unnoticed (or at least less painfully).
I truly believe anyone waiting for their PR/SC should focus on other things and not worry — the decision will come when it comes — if you focus on other things, you will feel a lot better through the wait.
