Parents, what do you look for in a good playmat?

Post by nomadasg » Wed, 10 Sep 2025 12:23 pm

Hi everyone,

I’ve been curious for those of you who’ve used playmats, what features matter the most to you? Is it the size, softness, design, or how easy it is to clean?

Some parents I know love extra-large mats for family playtime, while others prefer smaller ones that are easier to move around. I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Typically what you've mentioned, the softness and durability is important, also water resistant and right thickness. I used to get the LG Parklong playmats and they are the best, they could last forever.

Yeah, good point. Unwrap all your newly-bought shizzle and then air it for a few days at least, before you use it. A lot of new stuff stinks to high heaven.
