Another update about our PR Application under family Ties scheme

Wife (SG Chinese, 100k Annual Salary)
Husband (South Asian +7 Years in SG - 120k-130 Annual Salary, Currently on EP)
No Children
Age : 40

Application Date : End July 2024
Outcome received : Oct 1, 2025 (Not successful)
I feel perhaps we applied before 2 years of marriage that is one of the (many) reasons for rejection.

We will give it another try after six months.

Is it good idea to apply for LTVP ?
Switching from EP to LTVP is not going to help your family ties PR application. You’ve already identified the key reason for the rejection.

How old is your wife? I'm afraid if she is the same age as yourself you might be fighting an uphill battle as it almost has the scent of a marriage of convenience (late in life marriage, no children and rapidly hitting the no-fly zone of the 40's where it definitely get harder to gain PR in any case, but even more so with a new marriage and applying before two years as it looks like a frantic scramble to get PR before the window closes. :-k
