Nice and good to see Flips getting approved. You guys integrate well.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Been a long while since I got my IPA so heres an update with the timeline for the entire journey

applied july 6 2025
IPA 3 jan 2026

Singapore Citizenship Journey

Did my quiz over a few hours - 6 Jan 2026
Quite simple, if get wrong nvm can retake.

SEV – Eurasian Heritage Gallery & Singapore Navy Museum, 10 Jan 2026
did a tour of these 2 musuems, attendance was done in a photo so 2 photos after completing each tour. There will also be a quiz to finish everything off

Community Sharing Session 25 Jan 2026
earlier possible sharing session luckily still got some slots. went there took my attendance and chatted and participated in some activities with fellow applicants.

Completion of Singapore Citizenship Journey 27 Jan 2026
Recieved the final completion of the SCJ after completing final feedback. Now just got to wait for the final stage letter to go to Philippine Embassy for renounciation.

Final IPA Letter 2 Feb 2026
Recieved the final IPA letter, next steps would be to submit some photos pay the IC and Singapore Citizenship Application. $10 and $70 respectively so $80 total. Then I got to book an appointment where I had to renounce my current citizenship. This stage can take awhile depending on your embassy.

Renounce Citizenship @ Philippine Embassy 27 Feb 2026
I could have done this earlier but I didn't have time due to work so I booked an appointment on this date. Go to embassy, give my renounce form, IPA letter, passport and picture of myself. In and out 15 mins. Paid $75 during this stage.

Collection of Oath of Renunciation & ICA Appointment for Oath Taking 06 March 2026
The consular renounce letter was actually ready on the 3rd but wasn't free so I collected on 6th, same day also had the ICA appointment to submit all my information. Went to ICA did a bunch of steps, IRIS scan, fingerprint scan then finally Oath Taking, took around 1hr since my appointment slot was at 1PM but I reached around 1215PM.

Make sure to follow the attire standards for oath taking, maybe I was lucky but I was wearing jeans and still managed to do the Oath Taking. But I would recommend following it might get someone who isn't so lenient.

Today 06 March 2026.
After the oath taking at ICA, an hour later I got an email for the finalisation of my Citizenship. Very happy, now just gotta book an appointment to collection both my IC and Passport (Passport is an additional $70). And I'm not why I wasn't given a Temp IC, but maybe things changed already, still have my PR IC intact.

I will update in the future. If you got any questions lmk!

Congrats on your citizenship! The result today is well deserved since you have spent almost your entire life in Singapore and served NS.

Thanks for sharing your detailed journey of obtaining Singapore citizenship. It looks quite smooth and fast - everything was completed within about three months. I know it can take up to a year for some people, maybe because of the citizenship renunciation process.

Thanks very much! yea, i think the main bottleneck would be the renunciation process, depending on the country can take months (from other timelines i read), luckily for me i was ready in 3 days.
