Found a Hair Treatment That Helped My Frizz – Curious What Others Are Using?

Post by Marry325 » Sat, 12 Jul 2025 6:29 am

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to start a light discussion around hair care routines, especially for women in humid weather like Singapore. I’ve always struggled with frizz and keeping my hair straight for more than a day, and salon treatments just aren't sustainable for me — both time-wise and cost-wise.

Recently, I tried a home-use treatment (one with argan oil as the main ingredient), and to my surprise, it actually made my hair smoother and straighter for days without that heavy, sticky feel. It didn’t smell strong or leave any residue either.

I’m really curious — has anyone here had good results from home treatments or DIY hair smoothing routines? Would love to know what’s working for you, especially if you're avoiding salons like I am.

I deal with frizzy hair too. I guess it's the humidity here. When I'm overseas my frizz seem to go away.

I use Christophe Robin's and Keratase hair mask. I find them effective and helps to fight frizz temporarily.

Humidity in Singapore is no joke when it comes to hair. I’ve also been avoiding salon treatments and recently started using a DIY mix of coconut oil and a little aloe vera gel as a weekly mask—surprisingly helped with frizz and made my hair feel softer without weighing it down. Argan oil sounds promising, I might give that a try next! Always love hearing what works for others too.
