Local + Thai nationality with 1 child

Father local , mum Thai nationality have 1 child. Child born in SG but follow mum nationality as parents is not married. Children is currently 15 months.

How can we do to let the child stay at SG and let the child have SG citizenship .

This is a tricky one, and I don’t think there are any easy answers for unwed parents who give birth in Singapore. Over the years, I have heard horror stories, but I also heard about efforts to reform the system to make it less of a horror — not sure how successful these efforts have been. Unfortunately I just don’t know how to advise, but hopefully someone on this board does.
