Info on Non-Resident employers

Would like to know the procedure and rules for being employed by a non-resident employer. i.e A company looking to business in singapore and asean region.

If your are resident here, that is to say you remain 183 days a year in Singapore, then you will have to pay tax here.

You will probably be classed as the agent of the company and may have to register for business on behalf of your company.

The company wishing to do that will have to register either as a branch of the parent company or incorporate as a wholly owned subsidiary of the company if they intend to do business in Singapore or if Singapore is used to serve regional markets. The company is then subject to the same rules regarding taxes, CPF, etc., as any other registered entity.

The foreign company can engage a fulfillment company to act on their behalf until their business is well establish in this region before they start a local registered company.

Incase of a fulfillment company then is it advisable to have a seperate contract signed with them along with the original contract signed by foreign company?

If you have signed the contract, then it is appropriate to sign another contract for the fulfillment.
I think you can iron this out with your foreign employers. Fulfillment service/company is always very accomodating.
