Any fresh grads around???

Hi people,

Just wondering if there's any fresh grads around here, like those who just graduated from NUS, NTU etc and are now looking for a job or already have one for that matter. How do you find the Singapore market like? Is it tough getting a job here, esp if you're not local? Btw, NUS graduate here, still bumming around/job hunting... Unfortunately for the bond, I've got to stick around here a little while (3 yrs to be exact).

Sorry for the late reply. Haven't been checking this site for a while. I did computer engineering but hmm....I'm not sure if it's for me. Actually I was thinking about doing Masters in a different area. Have applied for one in OZ, may go there next Feb but have to defer my bond etc...lots of trouble. Are you a fresh grad as well?

Hi, yes, I'm a fresh graduate, graduated with an arts degree (majoring in politics, development and did a bit of spanish) - from Uni of NSW. Trying to find work here too

Cool....I suppose you're Singaporean? Was thinking of UWA...do you know anyone who is studying there? Btw, how much do you think I need to cover lodging, food etc besides the tuition fees every month? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Hi, yes I'm a Singaporean! Don't really know anyone studying there now in UWA! As for the costs, well, I stayed in Sydney which is a bit more expensive. I would guess in Perth it would cost about A$400-600 per month for a room (It would cost around $600 in Sydney so I'm thinking it'll cost less in Perth). As for food, I've always cooked my own so it's so much cheaper I would guess around A$150 if you cooked your own and much more if you eat out!
