John Peel Day - 13 Oct

Found out it's international John Peel day on 13 Oct -- presumably the first anniv of the death of this great British radio DJ.

Any Peel appreciators up for a meet up ... I am open to suggestions.

There IS a gig night before - at The Historia in Goldhill, Wed 12th - featuring Peel-friendly / semi-expat bands, Etc and Local Bar Boy ... both of which feature members whose stuff was previously played by Peel.

Also Local Bar Boy cover, of all things, local bands -- some of which were on Peel.

Etc intend to play Peel's beloved "teenage kicks" in their set as a tribute.
