Can someone explain why I can not read my private messages here? I've got 2 of them but just keep getting "Not authorized" message when try to open being logged in.

You need to have a minimal amount of posts in the forum before you can use the PM function.
This is to prevent spammers from Private Messaging everyone.

I see, thanks. However I must say this is quite odd way of protection - let people receive private messages and do not let them read. Why not give a R/O instead? Or simply do not let PMs to be sent to such "unauthorized" person at all.

What is a minimal amount of posts? You mean we should should just post garbage instead of only replying when one has a responsible opinion?
Seems a bit vague to me.
