Is "Entrepreneur Seminar/Courses" worth our $$$?

I am interested to sign up one of those Entreprenuer Seminar. Just today's paper i saw at least 3 of such:

1) Dennis Wee School of Entrepreneur

2) Entrepreneur Action Program

3) iMoneySecret etc...

Has anyone gone thru such courses? Is there anyone who benefited greatly from the course or greatly disappionted? Please kindly post your objective answers. Much appreciated. Many thanks.

I don't think Mr Sim Wong Hoo of Creative or Jack Welsh of GE or Bill Gates, or Michael Dell or Larry Ellison bother with such cources, neither did Sergey Brin and Larry Page who own Google. I think you are born with it or your not. (To be successful that is) Anybody can be a business owner. Being in the forefront with revolutionary ideas and possessing the drive needed to make it happen is a natural skill primarily. It can be honed but I don't think it can be created in a classroom.

you can learned what they know or even what they teach
at somewhere else for free....... if you know how.....

u can go to listen.. but not for adman koo type of $2500++ per talk

go to those that you are related to or interested at

example:
you are using internet to earn $$$$,etc , you wanna learn how to attract pple, earn $$$ thru adense
u can go for Mark Davis of Australia Talk(if i am not wrong)

Do not join those course, it is totally useless.

theory and practical is 2 totally different things.
you should go out and learn in the "Open society"
it is more useful and learnable this way...

let me explain further... i will use a scenario to explain

U go to atten talk conduct by Guy A and Guy B
Guy A and Guy B are consider hero as they kill tiger
Guy A walk from town 1 to town B, cutting thru forest
he meet a Tiger, the 1st thing he do is find a wood stick nearby and beat it
Guy B walk from town 1 to town B also, cutting thru forest
he meet a Tiger, this time, he is even more dare, he kill the tiger by his own hands

now... you want to go from town 1 to town 2 also
as you are afraid of the tiger, you went to visit Guy A and Guy B to teach you how to deal with tiger if you meet one
one day, finally u pass thru the forest
suddenly, a Tiger appear. What is you reaction?
can you imediately remember what the two guy teach u?

1st) can you find a wooden rod?
2nd) do you really need to use your hand to beat the tiger?
3rd) run away asap
4th) climb up at the nearest tree, so the tiger cant reach you.

Guy A = expert XXX
Guy B = expert BBB
Town 1 = nothing/failure
Town 2 = success
forest = business
tiger = market or other sudden happens or etc

I am not the gibberish police. It's just that your english needs a lot of help. As far as deleting your posts? Why. They don't help anybody because most of it's garbage and without the advertising, they don't hurt anybody. We get lots of silly posters. We don't delete them. We only delete advertising, racist posts or otherwise disruptive posts. So, if you want to continue to post little 2 line posts that don't really say anything please feel free to do so. If you want to advertise in the classifieds, please feel free to do so. However, if you start soliciting in the forum we will ban this nick and any other nick you choose to register with.

Oh, making disparaging comments about moderators will only raise the ire of the Admins. I just consider the source.........

If you ask me i would say, go all out and attend such courses they really help u out in life.

I have been to a few motivational talks and business talk that require less than 100 per session to commit. Each spanning about 8h.
Through those lesson i would say i have shorten a lot of time and there are normally after session chat where 1 can clear their doubt with the person conducting the talks.

Taking for example , i have been to a stock talk recently( i wont say which 1 later i kanna ban for advertising)

It opened my mind on how i should play stocks although i follow the way warren buffent and william j o'neil ( starter of investor business daily) does it.


IN SHORT pls go for such course, its cheaper to pay 100dollar than fail losing 10000dollar

Entreprenuer Seminar!

Although some talks can be interesting, one must also look at the pro's and con's Cost!

Entreprenuers are normally pretty handy, with the gift of the gab, communication skills, they could probably sell sand to the Arabs, that's what makes them successful.

Writing books is another money earner, and also the seminars are promotional campaigns, and to earn money, from dreamers, and there are millions of them around.

I believe in most cases entrpreneurship is quite early recognised by most people, the main reason i decided to study business after my service days, was simply because I was a wheeler & dealer, in the forces, I could get most things, i wanted, i made an effort to connect to the right people for an easier life.

The cook house for example, would close, yet it was always open house for me, the quartermasters store, was always open for me. and even my superiors, were quite taken aback, when i would have the newest flying suit, and white leather gloves, with shields (sun glasses) of course I always had to provide, its called networking and problem solution, never walk away from a problem, just solve it.

In civvy street, i see too many people walk away and say I cannot do it, I mean what is the point in employeeing people that can not solve a task, and always makes excuses?

If you are wanting to become an entrepreneur, you should take a risk assesment test, if you come in at 50/50, at least it will let you know, you are not the biggest gambler. but are pretty well balanced, if you drop under the 50/50, it's pointless becoming an MBA, like many have.

Business is after all to do with risk, minimum risk!

Another thing is, motivation for money, if money could motivate me, i am sure I would be a rich man, but it doesn't, i wheel and deal, because it was fun, it made life easier, and it gave me lots of experience in solving problems. I may have the knowledge to become one, but i certainly don't have the motivation.

My wife is also disappointed, because she also loves money! but how much is enough! I have enough compared to many in the world, so i don't grumble, I'm thankful for my life the way it is, and I'm past the days of working long hours, i'm not interested, I seek something better in the world, the love of living and nature, that is very fulfilling along with animals.

So common sense plays a very leading role, I do have old school friends, not many, two out of my class are millionairs in pounds, and they left school with no education at all.

One was a mechanic, and the other a plumer. The mechanic has actually worked selling cars 7 days a week for the last 30 years, and when i ask him why he doesn't travel abroad, he says, i'm a very simple person married with two kids to raise, and this is all i know, I have no education, just practical skill, that i can't even use on the cars today, becauase they nearly all computerised.

I know the trade price, and better still I know where to buy, then I double my money! I'm happy, the customer is happy, and even the wife is happy.

So his simple way, was to double his money, he also is a honest man, that gives good customer service, at all cost.

So common sense goes along way, and it doesn't take any seminar to tell you that, you can just ask around your friends.

A guy in denmark where i lived, cannot read or write, yet he owns almost half the city! To have the hunger for money, will bring you very few real friends, because these kind of guys are ruthless, when it comes down to business, no compassion at all. its business.

So after my own analysis of my strengths and weaknesses, which you must look at! I found I could never make the grade, because i am quite soft hearted, and not financially motivated. How about you?

I can make money when i want to make money though, which is also quite satisfying, and doesn't stress me out, thats the way i like it, I don't need much, and it wouldn't be the first time i've worked in a chinese washing up! I did it in a friends restaraunt at weekends for a good year and a bit! It was great, because you can relax the brains.

I would recommend it for anyone that is mentally stressed with work, just lift up the automatic washer, in with the plates, pull down, wash wash wash, dried, take out! put away, same again, don't have to think, you even become automated!

Save your money, or ask the people running the seminar for a good discount, like 95%, tell him its your first steps to becoming a Entrepreneur.

6. Use your liabilities to make money
7. You need Family support
8. Honesty, integrity, are vital for networking (guanxi) is also a favour returned right.

The make money out of liabilities may confuse many, if they have read Richmen Poormen, I think it's called, not read it, but i have seen the Red Rat on the net.

In sales one must look at attracting clients, and customer, the way to think is based on psychological reactions.
When i worked for a online computer component shop, we quite often sold top of the range processors at below cost, to attract the attention of punters, to qualify however, they had to spend a certain amount of money, more often than not they built there own computers online, and we delivered, enticing them in, with the processor, top of the range, also meant, they wanted the best graphic card, price of course was compensated for by higher pricing on other components.

We built this online shop starting from a one bedroomed apartment, within 1 year, we had expanded to a farm,in less than two years, we had 30 people working, and a new building built within the 3rd year and knocking out computers at over 100 a day, simply by using the liabilities we had, to encourage people to buy. When you have that strength you can also bargain on delivery costs. Continued cost cutting should be monitored and acted on.

There is also an art of purchasing, especially memory, where you need to gain, not lose, when the asp drops, and the $ is moving all the time, it's high risk, hard work and fun, with lots of pitfalls to overcome, many normally sit on the memory rather than sell at a loss, but it is gambling.

Save your money, and see if you can get on some kind of government inspiration courses, where you can learn a little about how business works
