Competitive Swimming in Singapore

Post by usswimmom » Thu, 15 Feb 2007 11:36 pm

My children (7yr and 10yr) are very involved in year round competitive swimming in the United States. Does anyone have any information about the quality and competitiveness of the swimming in Singapore and how it compares to that in the US?

Interesting. We will be relocating to Singapore in June. I have 3 girls (9/6/3). The older 2 girls swim with the neighborhood swim team. Let me know what you find out regarding options over there.

My girls swim year round with a local USA Swimming team. They also do summer league swimming, which may be similar to your neighborhood team? When we learned we might be relocating to Singapore, the first thing we looked for was a competitive swim program. We have contacted the APS Swim School in Singapore and have received some information about their program (www.apsswim.com). It looks like a good program. I am really interested in finding an American family with swimmers who can share about their swimming experience in Singapore compared to the US.
