Post by sfho » Sun, 25 Feb 2007 10:23 pm

Hi everyone,

I am going to singapore to work in the middle of March....um...want to make some friends here such that I won't be bored to death once i arrive...

let me first introduce myself, I have just graduated from university from Canada. Returned to Hong Kong recently then got an offer from a company in Singapore so I decided to take the chance...I am kinda young so I hope you guys won't mind making freinds with me...hehheee

hope to hear from you soon...

Hi there.

Think I was on a similar boat as you a few months ago except I wasn't exactly freshly out of university.

Anyway, so I'm here returning the favour that others have done to me a while ago, thus I'm here to say hi and extend my warm welcome to you.

If needed, you can add me on msn: [email protected] and I shall share my tips (I've only been here 3 weeks though...haha) with you re moving to Sg.

Cheers,
Small_Winnie

PS - Everyone here is very young. Thank you.

Heya there,

I'm a Malaysian Chinese but I do speak cantonese! Had quite a few friends from Hong Kong when I was in Melbourne. :P I hope I'm not out of place. >_<

I'm new here to Singapore too, after a few years in Aussie. Trying to get to know more people here to hang out with and possibly widening my social circle. Feel free to contact me for anything :D wayshend [at] hotmail.com

Welcome to Singapore btw! ;)

Hey sfho, from my experience of staying here for 1.5 yr. I didnt really feel bored in sg. Actually Singapore is quit similar to HK. You can watch movie, sing ktv, play bowling, pools, dining with frens, outdoor activities, clubbing.

I've made many frens in CGC. Some of them even become my best frens. We usually have gathering once a week. Sometimes we even take a short trip together during weekends.

Halo enzy. Welcome to join us for events. No worries, HK ppls in CGC is just a small group. Malaysian Chinese is the majority. So you have many brothers and sisters here. :D

Hey Enzy,

Just out of interest, which uni did you go to? Cos I'm from Melb too, so you never know, perhaps we have friends in common back home. =)

Cheers,
Winnie

Sydney Sydney~~~ Oh man! not that much Hongkie from Sydney~ I guess I'm a loner here in Singapore~

About being bored in Singapore. the term "boring" really depends on how many good friends you have at that place. I mean I was really really bored when I was in HK when 90% of my friends are in Sydney. But anyway that's another story :)
