In town this week

Post by ScoobyDoes » Sat, 24 Mar 2007 10:06 am

My wife, from Hong Kong, arrives in town tonight for a week as we look for a place to live....... i am currently in temporary accomodation.

Is there a "gathering" this week where she can learn more of the place from a HK perspective? I already know the place from a gwai lo perspective but that's so different.

:) Ho well, if u scroll down previous back and forth messages u may find that we same from Hong Kong but the perspective about this place could be quite different: somebody likes it somebody doesn't, somebody has settled down while somebody is still "wait-and-see"...so it really depends on how ur wife would think...probably she should stay for a long-enough-period to find it out. 'cause if just for vacation, things would be much easier.

BTW, am curious about what u have learn from "gwai-lo's point of view", mind telling us?

Yes, thanks, that was my point, finding out those differences.

For me it's different, i moved from the UK to HK in '94 then to KL in '02 and down to here a few weeks ago so of course i can see all the plus and minus points quite easily.
