Im Italian by the way. What I would like to know is, will I have fun? Are locals friendly? Are all foreigners old and rich as it looks like for what I read in every forum? Will I be able to find young, no-snob people to go out with? Is is an affordable city and most important of all, how easy and cheap is it to travel to Indonesia and malasia from there?

Sweet zombie Jesus. Singapore's a city like any other: whether you will have fun and meet interesting people depends entirely on what your interests are and where you go, and whether it's affordable depends on your expectations (and your salary).
But traveling to Malaysia and (to a lesser extent) Indonesia is certainly easy and cheap.

Ive just arrived - twelve days and counting - am having a great time and have found everyone - expats and locals - really friendly and helpful. If the money is good enough I'd say go for it! Am going to Tioman Island off East Coast of Malaysia next week for next to nothing as Singa $ is a lot stronger than the ringit (sp?) and it's supposed to be amazingly beautiful there.

As a practising Roman Catholic I take offense at this jpatokal - The phrase should be "Sweet Baby Jesus"

Do we have the right to bring our bottle with us ? I mean, I'm moving very soon and I was wondering whether I could include my wine bottle into my removal ?

Be very careful - I've heard of people successfully smuggling in 50+ bottles in their furniture container, but also know of people caught and having to pay between S$7-10/bottle. If you're prepared to take the risk (and get caught) accept the consequences graciously - if you're successful, lemme know and I'll pop around for some wine tasting
