I would like to learn Mandarin, does anybody know an opportunity in western Singapore?

Does anybody fancy to join me?

I've been meaning to pick it up myself while i'm in SG. Took classes long time back till level 2, but its completely blanked out from my memory since I never spoke it much.

Where are you thinking of learning it?

no idea so far. I am still looking for courses preferably somewhere in the west where I live...

I can heip you

I taught foreigners chinese in Zhejiang University when I was in China.

And you can teach me dancing or English for return!

Just want to make friends

Teach English? Speak English at home hence it comes naturally to me. But if you ask me to teach it, clueless on where to start. I don't mind practicing to speak to you in English.

I am staying in Upper Bukit Timah area. I am a native Mandarin speaker. Are you looking for a tutor or someone to practise Mandarin?

I also live in Jurong West, near NTU.

I am a native Chinese speaker with a master degree in foreign language and linguistics and bachelor degree in English. With the past two years and a half, i have been offering person-to-person Mandarin tuition to a broad spectrum of students of different ages, cultural backgrounds and industries.

If you would like to try out, we can arrange for a meet since we live in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Hemmm.... just reminded me of my own experience... no offence to anyone, but it's usually hard to learn much from so called "language exchange".... Fastest in my experience, pick up the basics from classes, then try getting into situation where you HAVE to use the language... such as somehow spending with somebody who only speaks the language you are learning... and that somebody also has no choice but speaks to you...
And one more thing, try to get into that mode for at least a week at a time..
Trust me.. learning is superfast that way!

Teaching Chinese is a no-prob for me

I'm good and fluent in languages and I have already conducted Chinese lessons for foreign students before(writing and talking) and they manage to master the basics within 2.5 months.You can PM me if you are interested.

Though I am also am keen on picking up Mandarin, I wish to enquire first whether you are still available to teach. If not then kindly give me details on how to go about it.
