Meet up on 16th August 2008

Hi,
I'm organizing a meet up on 16th August either for lunch or dinner. Since I'm the organizer, I will pick the venue but I shall leave it to you guys to vote for either lunch or dinner.

Lunch time and venue: 12:30pm at Brown Sugar (277 River Valley Road #01-04 Stardus Clubhouse Tel: 6333 6612). Set lunch at Brown Sugar is at $23++ and $27++ for 2 and 3 courses respectively. I've also spoken with the restaurant to allow us to pick certain good value items that are off the set lunch menu.

Dinner time and venue: 7pm at Le Tonkin (18 Mohamed Sultan Road Tel: 6235 6006) It's a Vietnamese cum French restaurant and your bill depends your choice of food and the number of courses you have.

If you are not sure about whether you can make it, please kindly DO NOT put your name down because I don't want to look stupid in front of the restaurant manager who has their revenue to think about.

The voting for this event will be closed and finalized next Tuesday (12th Aug) at 12 noon. You may vote for both lunch and dinner if you've no specific preference. Please kindly copy and paste the following in reply to this post:

Yeah, I am Singaporean Chinese. Hong Kong happened to be one of my favourite country and travel destination. Also, I know Cantonese but not fluent. I will like to get in touch with Cantonese speaking people even though my chinese dialect is well, you guess it , Hokkien.

I shall finalize our details for this Saturday as follows:

Time: 12:30pm

Venue: Brown Sugar (277 River Valley Road #01-04 Stardus Clubhouse
Tel: 6333 6612)

Directions: When you travel along River Valley Road towards Liang Court, you'll turn right onto Institution Hill, and then turn left immediately into the car park of Stardus Clubhouse. Institution Hill (Road) is opposite the entrance of Oxley Road along River Valley.

Set lunch: $23++ and $27++ for 2 and 3 courses respectively
