Travelling to Korea - travel buddies, tips and advice

I'm making a trip to South Korea at the end of December and I have been trying to get information about it. Not a lot of people seem to have to been to Korea, the reason that I hear most is language, though I feel that should be the case in Japan as well.

Anyway, if anyone has been to Korea (Seoul), I would love to hear about their experiences and any tips or advice they can give. I'm very much interested in Korean culture and simply love the food. But it would be good to hear about Korea from a tourist's/traveller's perspective.

Also, if anyone is interested in accompanying, that would be great..........the more, the merrier. I'm planning on flying out on December 26 and returning on January 4.

So any tips/advice/insight/experiences are very highly appreciated.
