Online Maps Don't Do It For Me

Call me old-fashioned but I like to spread open a large map on the floor and get a sense of the city and surrounding area. Years ago I briefly saw a great map of Singapore that showed all the streets in detail and marked out property developments by name. I'd like to find a map like this in my quest to find a place to live in Singapore. Now all I need is the name of the publisher. Most of the maps I can find in Europe are for tourists so they show the CBD in detail but not the rest of the island. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Google Maps, Printer & lots of Scotch Tape!

Or buy a local street directory & lots of Scotch Tape. The cheapest solution and one that I have used before when planning out cycling journeys around the island.

Or Google Earth and a very very large screen or a video wall.....

There are Map places online that will sell you rather large ones but just how big do you need?

I don't know if it will help you if you're not in Singapore already, but Mighty Minds makes the best most detailed maps. go to their website (just search Mighty Minds Singapore). You can see they have a large (1m x .67m) map of Singapore there, in addition to lots of other maps. They don't appear to have an online store there, but maybe you can contact them and see how you can get one. As a large map person myself, I think these have all the information you could want.
