Making friends in Singapore

Hi everyone, I will be relocating to Singapore in September with my boyfriend who has a new job. I am from London and was wondering if there were any clubs, networking events that might be good to meet people and make friends. I will be looking for work when I get to Singapore. Would love to hear your thoughts.
