Would a Malay citizenship make it easier in any way for me to relocate to Singapore in the future?

How do you mean by that? There is only Singappore Citizenship or Malaysian Citizenship . There is no citizenship by race on any country , land or language.
You need to speak and write in plain penguin !!

Are there any advantages at all to having a Malaysian citizenship if I want to apply for PR in Singapore?

"While underscoring the need to maintain the current mix of races among Singapore's population, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong spoke of the difficulty in attracting Malay or pribumi talent from South-east Asia.
However, he stressed: "We are getting some and must keep on trying.""
- Maybe he read this part of PM's speech...

For the first time in many years the Malay population in SG fell from 2.11 to 2.07 birthrate. Now that is a worrying trend as the Chinese and the Indian are way below than that. Now, to balance up the percentage, the Gahmen has to do something. All the while to bring in Malay FTs esp from Malaysia is a big NO NO . Now they have to swallow this bitter pill to prop up the racial quotas
