Review on Total Trade International, Malaysia

I am looking to buy a Sony 40 inch LCD and the best price I am getting is from a wholesaler in KL who is offering the TV for 505 SGD (the best price in Singapore is 685 SGD). Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience dealing with Total Trade International, Malaysia and if it is legit ? He wants me to transfer half the money via Western Union or bank transfer before TV delivery and the remaining half after delivery. Has anyone dealt with them?

I definitely wouldn't use western union for any transactions with unknown parties ...period.

As to how much you can trust the people in question ...mmmmh tough one . Did you google them to see if there's any dirt on them floating around.

Still think you're taking a big risk for the sake of 180 dollars.
The typical questions spring to mind > what about shipping/transport , what about shipping damage ( insurance) what about warranty etc etc.

Actually, it's not even $180. Since the purchase is over $500, he has to pay GST to bring it in. But mainly, you hit the nail on the head... paying half up front is an invitation to be ripped off.
