Starting a band

hey gang,

I'm a drummer and I'm looking for some people to jam with and start a band. I'm interested in alternative and heavy rock. I also like other styles such as surf guitar, and ska, and older punk stuff.

Examples: Rage Against the Machine, Weezer, Dick Dale, Bad Religion, Green Day, The Planet Smashers.....

Anyone interested?

Also, what are some good locations to play shows around town?

I caved in and bought a Telecaster, gotta use it soon! Is a jam session still on? I think I'm pretty much on the same page as magicbaconmachine as far as music taste goes.
