New to Singapore, looking to meet up with some christians.

My husband and I have moved here with our three daughters from Australia. It would be great to meet up with some Christians here. People with families or people here for a short posting or long term living. Any ideas?

Hi. There are some great people setting up a christian church I think they are from Australia or New Zealand. Called Inspire Church Singapore. Check them out on Facebook. They also have young children so probably also running playgroups etc which might suit you since you have kids. Hope this helps.

I'm from the UK and I go to the New Creation Church at Suntec City, Tower 4, level 3. There is a congregation of 22,000 so they hold 4 English services a day (08.30, 11.30, 14.30 and 17.30). The live band is phenomenal. Joseph Prince is the Pastor who is rather infamous within the Christian Singapore community. He speaks live at the first two services whereas the third and fourth services are repeated on a screen, still popular, but less busy. If you are keen, I would advise you queue an hour before the service as the queues are very long!

Not sure if you have connected with the people I posted about earlier- Inspire Church Singapore. I saw on their facebook page they are running an event this Saturday night with a speaker from New Zealand, think it is in Oriental Plaza which is in Chinatown near the MRT. Maybe you might want to check that out.

Thanks Francesca90, we have been along to New Creation but it is too big for us. We prefer a group where we feel like we know most of the people in the church.

Thanks livingabroadsg, we made contact with Inspire Church Singapore and they are really great people, we like their vision and what they intend to do here. Funnily enough the speaker presenting Saturday night in Chinatown (7pm 10th September at Oriental Plaza, I think) is Pastor Don McDonell. Not sure if you know him Francesca90 but he travels quite a lot in Australia and New Zealand and we have met him before. He is an amazing guy, awesome to listen too.

Plan to go there Saturday night.
