hi!
finished my lessons on kite surfing and am looking for the following:
- full set kite surfing gear to purchase
- people to travel and kite with especially with the NE monsoon blowing now!
there are places in the east coast of Malaysia ideal for kiting and am willing to drive there from Singapore.
Hit me at
[email protected] and let's talk this over.

I'm a beginner also, even though i'm mid 40's, done the lessons got the gear and now waiting for the wind. I understand that this time of year it's east coast of Malaysia and the best place for beginners is a place called Jason Bay, about 1 hour 15 minutes drive after you get over the checkpoint into Malaysia.
Google map: Kampung Tuanseh Kota Tinggi, Johor Malaysia
Huge beach in a bay with about 200 meters of shallow water.
Going to drive up today, Sat, even though wind forecast is marginal and hope, but also Monday as the forecast looks better.

Jason Bay is indeed good for beginners. The most reliable wind forecasts for Jason Bay, in my experience, are those provided by buoyweather.com (see
http://www.buoyweather.com/wxnav6.jsp?r ... =8&units=e).
Additional wind/tide/swell/rain forecasts for the Singapore area are available through the
http://www.ulfp.com website.
Another good spot for beginners is Trikora beach on Bintan. It supposedly gets another couple of knots of wind compared to Jason Bay (though admittedly I've never visited both beaches during the same day, so I can't say for sure, but it seems to be true). For more info, see
