Has anyone any advice re family healthcare over in Singapore - 2 young kids , 2 adults - we are looking at the blanket format from your standard healthcare co. Can we do anything locally there that would be as good or better than we are being offered.
Lastly, with hindsight what would you do differently re healthcare that we could overlook as ' relocation virgins' .
Thanks for any advice.

I'd say just remember that it's a two tier health care system and make sure that your insurance supports the level of cover you're comfortable with for your family.
If your company insurance isn't good enough there are lots of brokers around. Personally I've dealt with Expat Insurance (google them) and they were good.

There are local packages, e.g. by NTUC, that are not as comprehensive as the much higher-priced international ones. Generally, most local plans cover emergency and hospital treatment only - and none covers dental cost or pregnancy (not a disease in local view).

If you want affordable policies, definitely the local ones. NTUC, AIA, etc. I got my
health insurance from posb, and children are actually covered for free till they turn 20. And no dental or pregnancy included.

Hmm, there's a strange echo in here...

The link is the same, so are you both the same person? And do you work for DBS/POSB? All your recommendations seem to be for them...
Be careful what you wish for
