My son who has just turned 6 has developed over the last 2 years an extreme phobia to needles.
His reaction is extreme physical (vomiting/voiding of bowels)/elevated blood pressure/sweating/fainting. It is now to the point where he has this reaction if a person he knows goes in to see the nurse for an injection and he remains in the waiting room. I thought he would grow out of it but we are also to the point where watching animal planet and an animal needs an injection can be hazardous and everyone is running for a bucket!
My GP has agreed in these cirumstances to refer him to a child hypnotherapist........however having real difficulty finding one!
Any suggestions?
THanks
