Hi
I am exploring the options and feasibility of moving to Singapore, hopefully through my company. That however does not mean I will get a handsome expat package. At best, I will move as a local with local salary (no idea what that will be).
My wife is a computer engineer with working experience in Lotus notes and Java J2EE. She has been out of the job market for a while for family reasons. I have the following questions regarding the possibility of her working in Singapore:
1 - What is the best visa category (other than permanent resident) that I should ask for from my company to give me, so as to enable her to be able to work with the least amount of legal formalities?
2 - as a computer engineer with development experience (5+ years), will she be have a decent possibility of finding work as a developer (part time or full time / working from home or not).

Your wife can work on LoC which is easier to obtain than an EP. She needs to take an initiative to make potential employers aware of this as some employers are hesitant to employ DP holders.
For those who fight for it, life has a flavor the sheltered will never know.
