Playgroup for Parent & Child

Post by beemum » Wed, 28 Feb 2007 6:10 pm

Hi, can anyone recommend a playgroup once or twice weekly for about 1.5 hours? I was told Canadian and German European International School also run the playgroup for parent & child. Any comments? I'm hoping for something more relaxed and unstructured for my soon to be 2 years old son. Or please advise me any other place I can try.....other than Julia Gabrial, etc.

I can recommend the Canadian International School playgroup, although I am sorry I no longer have the number as it was a while ago but contact the school. It is reasonably priced and I found it a good mix of play (and chat for the mums) and structure - freeplay, a craft table and activity is set up to do when your little one feels like it, some group singing and snack. Note that a parent is required to attend, rather than being for helpers. You could also try St George's in Minden Road although I preferred the Canadian.

Also can recommend Centrestage - maybe more in the Julia Gabriel mode - off River Valley Rd which my son and I loved.
